David “Chino” Villorente is one of the foremost practitioners and ambassadors of graffiti culture in the world. His reign as the eleven-year editor of the "Graf Flix" feature in The Source magazine helped cement his position as an important arbiter within the global graffiti community. His firsthand knowledge of graffiti culture and all its past, present and future players makes him an indispensable source for dozens of publications.

Villorente has co-authored numerous books on graffiti culture including; Mascots & Mugs (Testify Books, 2007), Piecebook, Piecebook Reloaded, World Piecebook (Prestel, 2008 - 2011) and The ABC's of Style (Testify Books, 2018). As an artist and designer he has collaborated with many brands, including Nike, Red Bull, Adidas, Mass Appeal, Reebok, Foot Locker, Brand Jordan, Revolt TV, and FOX Sports. Villorente co-curated the critically acclaimed 2013 exhibition, Write of Passage, at the Red Bull Studios New York, and more recently he co-curated the groundbreaking Beyond the Streets exhibitions. Beyond the Streets is the world's largest graffiti and street art exhibit which debuted in Los Angeles in 2018, made its New York City debut in 2019 and traveled to London and Shanghai in 2023. Villorente currently resides in his native borough, beautiful Brooklyn, New York.
