Next Level Aerosol Edition was a one-time series of aerosol arts exchanges. In 2022 and 2023, teams of two U.S. aerosol artists traveled to Bahrain, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates, to hold workshops, master classes, and lectures. Workshops, which spanned several hours each day, emphasized the development of artistic and entrepreneurial skills and promote conflict transformation strategies. All activities were designed to promote the mutual sharing of knowledge, values, perspectives, and respect between local communities and American artists. The week-long residencies culminated in a collaborative public mural in each location.
This coloring book is the culmination of a years-long effort to showcase the talent of Next Level alumni from around the world, including artists from the Aerosol Edition residencies. These 48 drawings by artists from 13 countries represent the styles, symbols, and messages found throughout the global Hip Hop community and the themes of Diversity, Inclusion, and Resilience.
